THIS IS A TRULY BREATHTAKING EXPERIENCE! After a short ride from the port, the adventure starts when you board our native Jungle Safari bus. In this first part of the day’s adventure, you will experience a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with Mayan natives who will share their knowledge of the ancient Mayans who once inhabited this region.
They will escort you then to the actual Canopy Ride, where you will enjoy the thrill of flying from tower to tower, rising 60-120 feet (18-36m) in the air through a circuit of zip lines strung over the tree-tops of the most bio-diverse jungle in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Unexpected encounters with macaws will astonish you and your family. The last platform of the Canopy Ride will take you to the Bacalar Lagoon, where the water radiates shades of transparent, light green, turquoise, light blue and electric blues. Back on the ground, you will enjoy a walk through the reserve’s Interprative Jungle Trail, a narrow road across the jungle where nature and culture meet. This nature walk ends in the reception area where you will find the bathrooms, lockers, souvenir and picture stores.
This is the first-ever world-class zipline canopy tour anywhere to employ a super
safe parallel double-cable system. Parallel means 2 can go side by side, and double-cable means each
person is suspended by two cables, 1 primary and another for safety and stability.
This tour currently requires 4 people minimum. Please let us know if you would
like to join a waiting list to hook up with others.
Tour Length: Approx. 5 hours including transportation – canopy tour lasts
a little over 3 hours.
Cameras: Still and video cameras are welcome, however for obvious safety reasons are not
allowed during the actual zipline experience. Professional photos of your experience will be available
for purchase.
