EXPLORE THE MAYAN JUNGLE ON HORSEBACK! -
Mount up and experience a deep jungle adventure on the finest horses in Costa Maya.
But this is much more than just a horseback ride. This is an educational journey designed especially
for international nature lovers who would like to learn first-hand about the flora and fauna
of Costa Maya and Mayan culture.
Our drivers will meet you at the Tequila Beach Club to drive you to the
ranch El Anca where a multi-lingual guide will give you a safety briefing and help
you pick your horse.
On your journey you will ride through a magnificent jungle to a recently
uncovered Mayan archaeological site. This site appears to be the vestiges of an early Mayan
village, and have been left exactly as it was found. From there you will visit a haltun,
a type of cenote where early Mayans drew their water. During a break at a spectacular jungle park,
you will learn about native plants, trees, birds and wildlife, as well as the traditional methods
of chewing gum production.
Before you leave, make sure you say bax ka wa li (hello) to the Mayan
couple living here preserving the traditional lifestyle of their culture.
Bring your camera, this is an excellent photo opportunity!
After your tour you will be taken back to our exclusive Tequila Beach Club,
where you can relax and swim, or return to your ship or hotel.
