Our drivers will pick you up at the Tequila Beach Club and take you to the shores of Xcalak, a sleepy little town near the border of Belize. Just offshore you will enter into the Xcalak National Marine Park, the first and only national marine park in Mexico to have been initiated by a local community. What that means is that you will be diving in a very protected area with people who really care about it.

This reef is very much alive! It is part of the Meso-American Barrier Reef ecosystem, the second largest reef system in the world. Very close to the resort you will find spectacular canyons, walls and chimneys teaming with all types of colorful corals, sea fans and sponges.

The area is extremely rich in marine biological diversity and a highly productive breeding ground for many species of tropical fish and nesting turtles. Eagle rays, large turtles, eels, and lobsters are commonly sighted. Whale sharks have also been spotted here. Have no fear, they are harmless. The size of a bus, they are simply the largest fish in the World.

Most dives here are made at 30 to 60 feet, and are generally so close that you can even snorkel between dives right in front of the resort.

After your dive, you will be taken back to the Tequila Beach Club where you can relax or return to the ship.
